There is incredible breadth amongst definitions of "Christian Fiction." For our purposes, we have provided a variety of selections -- from historical fiction to mysteries to apocalyptic thrillers -- yet all offering the message of redemption without straying from the "mind of the Church."
Our Criteria? A great story, well told, consistently in line with Christian Philosophy and thought, and though often delving into the realities of evil, it is clear that God always has the final Word. We have chosen with this website to have a special focus on tales that bring to life the reality of spiritual warfare. The books listed have either been read by our staff or critically reviewed by trusted sources.

Apocalyptic -- Suspense/Thriller -- Fantasy -- Theological/Philosophical “Once born into childlike faith, brimming with belief, typical people begin to lose their faith. Society mocks them. Their friends smirk. They come to change the world, but over time the world changes them. Soon they forget who they were; they forget the faith they once had. Then one day someone tells them the truth, but they don’t want to go back, because they’re comfortable in their new skin. Being a stranger in this world is never easy" -- Ted Dekker
A New York Times best selling author who has written more than 20 books and sold over 3 million copies, Ted Dekker has become the premier writer of Christian Fiction, presenting Spiritual Warfare primarily through metaphorical fantasy. |

patterns, has the power to tickle the senses and stir the emotions -- yet
transcends each, reaching out to touch the Divine? And what then of the man
who discovers the intricate secrets of its language, so as to harness its
power? Could he not then move mountains?" -- Compasse |

Suspense/Thriller -- Theological/Philosophical "Let's be honest: ignoring is acting, and nothing more - acting as though the words or actions of your oppressors don't hurt. You hear the words, you feel the insults, and you bear the blows. You can act deaf and impervious to pain, but the stabs and the arrows pierce you anyway." -- Frank Peretti
A New York Times best selling author who has written more than 20 books and sold over 12 million copies, Peretti is considered "America's hottest Christian Novelist" , best known for his ability to manifest the reality of spiritual warfare in a manner that draws the reader out of thinking only on the "temporal plane.". |
